An Experienced Unit with a Mature Process

Our San Antonio Phase 1 unit has a wide range of experience over several different therapeutic areas. In addition, the processes we use for study initiation, subject recruitment, and data collection have been honed by years of Phase 1 work.

Initiation Process

ICON Development Solutions, likes to make start-up easy for our clients. We handle all processing, including:

  • regulatory approvals
  • lab coordination
  • contracting
  • communication logistics to expedite initiation

The project team assigned to your study meets internally to ensure proper coordinator of your study. We make use of dry runs and other techniques to identify possible trouble points before your study begins.

Recruiting for Your Study

Our centralized, computerized recruitment process enables us to enroll patients quickly. We handle all recruitment advertising and maintain an active, computerized database of 4,000 volunteers. Our recruitment call center is active 6 days a week, staffed with multiple operators, and provides online, up-to-the-minute reporting on call volume, referral status, and disqualifying callers.

We have experience recruiting for special populations such as elderly, diabetic, and ethnic populations. A recent study required us to recruit a Japanese-specific research population.

Data Collection

We have implemented a team approach to effectively manage data collection. Our experience includes electronic data collection and our network infrastructure is designed to support such trials. All our standard operating procedures meet or exceed the FDA guidelines. The result is appropriate, high-quality data with minimal queries.
